Matthew 28:16 The eleven disciples traveled to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had directed them. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped, but some doubted. 18 Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

“Go” means - move from one place to another

Go is used 1,252X in the Bible!

First Reference Gen 4:8 Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let's go out to the field.” And while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.  

Last Reference Rev 22:11 “Let the unrighteous go on in unrighteousness; let the filthy still be filthy; let the righteous go on in righteousness; let the holy still be holy.”  

Do we talk more about how we WENT rather than 

where God is calling us to GO?

 Churches have a propensity to be less effective, less involved in their community and maybe even closing the doors when they stop GOING…

 Attempt Great things for God, 

Expect Great things from God.

William Carrey in his pamphlet Enquiry stated

“Surely it is worthwhile to lay ourselves out with all our might in promoting the cause and kingdom of Christ.”

1. What are our EXPECTATIONS of what God can do?

2. What are our ATTEMPTS for the kingdom of God?

No matter how small the beginning, no matter how complicated the task, in the power of the Spirit, under the authority of the risen Christ, we can have absolute confidence in the success of our mission…because it depends, rests, and is empowered by Jesus!

Great things of God don’t happen to those who are not willing to be fueled by faith to accomplish what Jesus commanded us to do.

“What might God be pleased to do in our day/life/generation if we expect great things of Jesus and attempt great things for Jesus?

So 3 things that should help us understand the call to JUST GO:

1. When we go, we go with His Authority

Without revelation people run wild, BUT one who follows divine instruction will be happy.
